Kingfisher Foods are shortlisted at the 2025 Footprint Awards
Kingfisher Foods have been announced as shortlisted for the Sustainable ‘Supplier Award’ at the 2025 Footprint Awards. The Footprint Awards are one of the most renowned awards schemes for environmental sustainability and responsible business practice in the food and drink industry. This year’s ceremony takes place on Thursday 22nd May at the London headquarters of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The Sustainable Supplier Award looks for the implementation of sustainable initiatives that have brought benefit to the environment, community and business stakeholders, both up and down the supply chain. Our award submission centred around our core objective to be the industry leader in sustainably and ethically sourced ambient food. This overarching objective has been achieved through implementing various initiatives and projects including the refinement and expansion of our annually updated ‘Modern Slavery Act Statement’, expanding our membership of sustainable organisations, expanding our responsible sourcing policies, spearhead ‘Fishery Improvement Projects’ (FIPs), and the continued development of our in-house corporate social responsibility (CSR) team.
Footprint say of the awards “The consumer is increasingly knowledgeable when it comes to sustainable business practice and Footprint Awards gives organisations the opportunity to show to their customers and the public at large, the steps they have taken to make their own contribution to the sustainability of both industry and planet.”
